About

A Note on Our Perspective

We are a small editorial team in Gothenburg writing for curious adults and design-minded readers. We are interested in how a small rule can open a large space.

How we work

Every puzzle on the site has been solved by hand before publication. Every historical claim is checked against books, museum records or the original publication where possible. When a claim rests on anecdote — such as the story of Piet Hein and Heisenberg's lecture — we flag it as reported.

We separate documented Nordic examples from broad cultural generalisations, and we name non-Nordic sources as such. We do not accept payment for coverage and sell no products.

Testing by hand: the constraint we set ourselves is that no puzzle is published until it has been solved on a table.
